GL: Avoiding Canada Correction

Boy, is my face red!!!
 
In an earlier post, I suggested that one had to go through the Welland  Canal 
from the Erie Canal to get to Lake Erie and onwards on the Loop.
 
Contrary to the suggestion one listee posted about checking a map, I should  
just check my brain!
 
As someone who has done that trip a number of times, you would think that I  
would know my Erie Canal from my Oswego Canal. I've done the Welland a lot, 
and  last time I checked, it ends (upbound) on Lake Erie. I read Erie, and 
thought  Oswego.
 
Here's the post that should have been sent:
 
"If you exit the Oswego Canal and stay in US waters you would have to  
transit the Welland Canal...yada, yada, yada"
 
Perhaps I could say that I was just checking to see if anyone really read  
the posts???? No??? Well, my apologies to the List for the "too-quick" post I  
sent!
