  The many days of heavy rains in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois are
taking their toll on tributaries of the Illinois Waterway?namely the Fox,
Kankakee and Des Plaines Rivers just west and south of Chicago.  Flooding and
debris in the water are reported.  I have not checked with any of the
lockmasters, but any Loopers heading down the Illinois might face some of the
same issues.
