Dear Mr. Tellup,

I'm writing you to ask if you would allow me to send an email to the
great loop boaters inviting them to come to Winter Harbor Marina if they
are in the area on Aug. 24th to visit with Elaine from Skipper Bob
Publications.

Since the passing of her husband, Elaine would like to let boaters who
enjoy and use the publications know she is on the waterways and keeping
the publication current & she would like the chance to promote her
newest publication.
I understand my posting to the boaters on behalf of Elaine's arrival to
the marina may fall under promotion or self promotion, although, Elaine
& Skipper Bob have been long time fellow members the GLA and the AGLCA
and this is not a typical promotional situation.

Elaine & Skipper Bob worked hard through the years to never loose sight
of the grass roots of true boating in there publications. They were
always either on the water or taking information from trusted boaters to
keep there publication current and informative. And at a price which was
and still is affordable. Skipper Bob's death was unexpected leaving
Elaine at the helm along with her daughter Ruth to run the publication.
Through sadness and grief they have kept the publication going and
communication with boaters open.

I do understand and respect the importance of the guidelines you have
in place to protect the site, although I am asking for an exception in
this case to allow Winter Harbor to send an invitation to all boaters in
the Brewerton, NY (Oneida River) area on August 24th to visit our marina
to meet Elaine Reib of Skipper Bob Publications.

I thank you for your time and consideration in this matter and look
forward to hearing from you soon.

Wishing fine health and safe travels..
Sincerely,
Leslie
