I also highly recommend this unit, Garmin GPS76csx, I use it in the dingy and
kayak as well as onboard. I've always received excellent service from Garmin,
including a free replacement  for a minor problem on an out of warranty hand
held unit.

  can acquire one of the two new WAAS satellites - #135 or #138.

  This unit comes with USA automobile maps. But it will easily lead you back
  to your boat and you can download marine charts to it at extra cost.

  There are some units that are preloaded with nautical maps and if you travel
  widely, they may be a better deal, though a little bigger.
