Diesel at Ludington Municipal Marina on 8/7: $2.97 per gallon.

Diesel at Pentwater on 8/8 at Snug Harbor: $3.27 and Gas at $3.30



In Muskegon Lake we stayed at the Marina at the River Terrace Hotel.  $40
per night for our boat and very quiet.  Reservations and slip assignments
are handled by the hotel via phone. There is no one at the dock to provide
assistance. You are right near downtown Muskegon, although the city is still
struggling to recover from hard economic times and has a disorganized city
center.



We are currently in Lake Macatawa, Holland, Mi. at the Crescent Shores
Marina at $1.00 per foot, but pretty rock and roll with all the ski boat
wakes just in front of us.  Actually anchoring out in a cove at the North
and East end of the lake would be quieter, but we like our air conditioning
in this 90+ heat and there are storms predicted for tomorrow.



On August 13th, diesel at Pier 33 in Benton Harbor/St. Joseph is $2.82 per
gallon and the fuel is delivered every two weeks or so.

We are at the Municipal Marina (West Basin) with Diesel at $2.93 gallon and
dockage at $1.00 per foot.  We also have the use of free bikes and we are
picking up the town wi-fi from our boat.  We waited for a Northeast Wind and
ran at the 35 foot depth down the Michigan shore with little wave action.
We hope to be in Chicago on the 20th.
