Hi there -
We can only comment on Champlain to N'folk. After September, the Champlain
Canal locks are only open for 10 hours per day and fog will often prevent you
from getting an early start. Assuming you'll go offshore from New York, you
may have to wait several days for weather, and again from C. May onward,
whether offshore or thru the Bays. We would allow at least 2 weeks for this portion
and more if you travel as slowly as we do - 7-7.5 knots. OTOH, if everything
is perfect and you go offshore from NY to N'folk, you could get from
Burlington to N'folk in a week with a faster boat.

> We missed the spring updates on looping through Canada and need advice,
www's, tel. nos. regs., etc about leaving from Cleveland, SEPTEMBER 1
through the Welland Canal , across Lake Ontario, through Thousand Island,
down St. Lawrence to Sorel and then south through Richelieu River-Lake
Champlain-Champlain Canal-Hudson to NYC and then south via ICW to FL
(Norfolk by Nov. 1) Is this too late in the season?
