GL: Fall Canadian Trip

We missed the spring updates on looping through Canada and need advice, 
www's, tel. nos. regs.,  etc about leaving  from Cleveland, SEPTEMBER 1  
through the Welland Canal , across Lake Ontario, through Thousand Island, 
down St. Lawrence to Sorel and then south through Richelieu River-Lake 
Champlain-Champlain Canal-Hudson to NYC and then south via ICW to FL 
(Norfolk by Nov. 1)  Is this too late in the season?
