GL: Hurricane Insurance - Is there a "Window of Non-Coverage?"

I am doning the Great Loop, when I passed under the George Washington  Bridge 
in New York on the Hudson, my Boat US Insuance policy droped from $3600 a  
year to $600 a year, as long as I am out of florida, where I live.
