Didn't the auto makers try that before? If you didn't use Chevrolet brand oil,
changed at a Chevrolet dealer only, your warranty was voided. The Feds stepped
in a made that illegal. Just another way to:
A. Get out of their warranty
obligations
B. Sell you more of their products.
