GL: Beaufort South Carolina Bridge Problems

There has been an accident, damaging the "McTeer" Bridge, linking Port Royal
and Lady's Island near Beaufort, SC. This has resulted in the bridge being
shut down, forcing all land traffic to use the "Wood Memorial Bridge" to get
to Lady's Island. I do not know the full impact this will have on northbound
boaters but there will definitely be specific restrictions as to what times
the Woods bridge will be open for boat traffic. I don't believe there will be
any problem getting through but it may not be as convenient as in the past. I
suggest you check with the local authorities as you approach the Beaufort
area.
