GL: boats

I have always observed that larger boats offer many more opportunities for 
"comfort" than smaller boats. Larger water line in a disopacement hull 
provides a faster natural speed at no extra fuel consumption cost. Bigger 
boats will be less susceptible to wave motion and provide added stability 
for its riders. Larger boats offer more storage, you feel less "cramped" and 
often provide more features, amentities, and things that are useful (air 
conditioning could be one example). All of it is a tradeoff in that the 
larger boat will generally cost more, will be more complex, require greater 
technical knowledge and result in more maintenance hours and money. For me, 
I have always been determined to own the largest boat I can afford.
