GL: perfect boat

Perfect boat for the loop? I just SOLD it! My Cinderella was ordered built for me to do the loop: my Linssen Grand Sturdy 410. Steel hull...steel all over, she had a really low aspect and with the mast in place (it was also easy to lower) her 'air space' was under 19 ft so could go under most bridges. A gorgeous boat besides! Comfortable and easy to handle. But that's history now.
I would be very wary though, of a boat with IOs. My experience with a 25' power boat with twin IOs was really bad even though she was kept on a lift. In salt water (A good part of the Loop) barnacles were a huge problem with IOs and would tear holes in the sleeves causing serious leaks. I have to question why anyone doing the Loop wants to go fast? Just to be able to say you've done it is not a legit reason. Fast boats severely limit the visual experiences. Being an artist for whom visual experiences are #1 priority, I realize that far too many people do not know HOW to look and 'see things' so going fast avoids such confrontations. What a pity!
