I've seen this model used on this list several times. With one addition...

While doing the loop, write about it weekly or so on this list or others 
like it and talk about the great time you're having and how great your boat 
is and how you will hate to sell it when the trip is over. This isn't 
"selling" your boat which is verboten for the list, but somebody out there 
will figure out that they ought to buy your proven vessel when the trip is 
over. It'll be under contract before the last docking is made.
