GL: Legrace update

Hi Capt, Mimi,

A few others have asked about B&B Seafood and Toogoodoo Creek anchorage.
Both are in Skipper Bob's.

B&B Seafood about 1.5 miles off the ICW at MM 513.5 - up the Ashepoo River
to Mosquito Creek. We have bought fuel there 3 times now and spent the
night once. The floating dock has room for 2 40' boats - maybe a bit more
if they are cozy and I think they charge $25/night. The floating dock is ok
but this is a working dock and not a marina, so it is not fancy and I don't
believe there is anything in the immediate area. B&B is a seafood
processor; the commercial fishermen bring in their catches there so you can
usually buy what ever they are catching. The store does have a limited
supply of drinks & snacks & other things that the fishermen would want.
Plus typically a good price for diesel and a fast pump.

Toogoodoo Creek is at MM 495.4, so it is about 25 or so miles south from
Charleston SC. This is the second time we have anchored here. It is easy
to get in & out, wide and plenty of depth, just follow Shipper Bob's
directions. We are about a mile in with small trees to the south and long
stretches of marsh in the other directions. There are multiple spots to
drop the hook depending on wind direction but it doesn't have super
protection. The current does run but we have found no problems with holding
and usually just a couple of small fishing boats are the only traffic. And
I have no idea how it got the name Toogoodoo!
