Happy Spring to all! It sure doesn't feel like spring in Upstate NY just
yet. We had snow for Easter. And there is still ice on some parts of
Oneida Lake.
I'm writing because, last season we had some little stray kittens born
just outside our in our marina and some of your guest transients
expressed and interest in giving them a home. But the kittens were so
shy, we could only catch one and he now lives happily in our office. His
name is throttle! Through the grapevine other boaters had heard about
the kittens during the summer and sent me emails asking if the kittens
were still available. I began to realize how many boaters travel with
pets and what great companion's they were.
So just in case anyone is interested- I have a horse and a goat FREE!
Only kidding ;-) This past fall a beautiful little female (deep brown,
orange & black) cat came to my horse barn and she was such a love, I
could not turn her away-wonderful little sense of humor- is there to
greet me with a snuggle & cuddle when I come in the morning and tuck the
animals in at night. She is the only cat in the barn as we had lost our
older cat earlier in the year. Well! My very friendly girl is having
kittens! She is small in stature, so my guess is that she will only
have 3 or 4 kittens. If anyone is interested in adding to there crew and
are passing between Oneida Lake and Lake Ontario, we are on the Erie
Canal near lock 23. You can contact me via email winterha@borg.com and
I will keep you posted via personal email contact. If I can find
wonderful, adventurous & loving homes for the kittens that would be
fantastic & If not that's ok too- I'll have them fixed & they will have
a great home on the farm.
Wishing you all safe travels and fine health..
Leslie
