I didn't make that comment--some of these places are not really marinas, and
are difficult to get in with a boat of significant draft. Although these are
within 50 miles of each other, the routes can be circuitious because of shoals
and the channels. I certainlly would not attempt any of these (except
Carabelle and Tarpon Springs at night--even these caution must be used and be
very careful of your position.

(There was some damage during the hurricane season of 2005--I am running down
there in a couple of weeks and will have a better handle--but had a friend who
was there within several months and says that most facilities are open)

Here is what is available:

Carabelle (lots of changes with high end condos going in) (Carabelle, Moorings
and C- Quarters Marinas)
Aligator River (Aligator River Marina)
St. Marks (Shields Marina and Riverside Marina)
Steinhatchee River/Keaton Beach: (Sea Hagg Marina, River Haven Marina,
Steinhatchee River Resort, Gulf
Stream Lodge)
Horshoe Point (not really a marina; Tinas Dockside Inn)
Suwannee River: (Millers Marine,Suwanee Marina)
Cedar Key (Cedar Key Municipal dock--last time I was there not really
usable--anchor--no fuel, except jerry jug)
Withlacoochee River/Yankeetown (Yankeetown Marina)
Crystal River (Pete's Pier, Twin Rivers Marine)
Homosassa River: (MacRae's Marine)
Tarpon Springs:
