  We plan to leave from Galveston Bay the first of February.  Does anyone
have
  or know of check lists to help us prepare.

  Since  you are leaving fr Texas see my web site for a number of articles
that will be of benefit to you, The ICW , Transiting New Orleans, The Locks of
La. , and more, there is even a CHECK LIST for a delivery trip but it is fully
applicable to your plans.

   Feb is a good month to leave fr the Gulf Coast.  We left last yr Mar 1 fr
La. and friends left fr Tx Feb1. We ended the season Sept. 30th in Baltimore
where the boat awaits our return in the spring.

  We spent 3 months in Fla., a month in NC, and 3 months in the Chessy. Will
spend another 2 mos in the Chessy in the spring before heading  to Maine for
the balance of the season, returning to Baltimore.   May do the Bahamas next
winter then Canada for two seasons then??
  No way you can do the Grt Circle justice in one yr or so. My not so humble
opinion. We  were told that we have spent 14 days ( so far)  in the Chessy for
each DAY that most on the Circle spend there.

  We are only doing this trip ONE TIME!!!!!!!!!
