Left Sumter Recreation Area basin at 0630 and ran through some 1/4-mile
visibility for an hour or so. Mixed with a few moments of easterly headings
into the rising sun, that made for dicey goings -slooooowed down.

All pools at normal. Locks Bevill and Stennis were open and waiting with
total of fifteen minutes between making up to floating bollard and casting
off. Aberdeen lock was an hour wait while up- and down bound towboats ahead
locked through.

Moored at tee-dock on western shore beyond Blue Bluff. No services. No
cost. Channel scary at about 5-6 feet in places, despite what one guide
said about ten feet at normal pool.
Few snags seen.

Light barge traffic.

Four cruisers southbound. None but us crazies going north.
