GL: rim route

Doc,

  I have made the trip many times as well. Have powered and sailed from below
Ft Myers to New Orleans twice. Those are long trips!!!!!

This yr  THE WIFE and I were crossing fr. Apalachicola to???? I wanted  to do
the rim as I had never had to opportunity to do so. Pat did as well BUT, she
and she alone made to decision to go straight across to Tarpon springs. I
stayed out of that thought process altogether.
 Her reason was valid.---Weather.

As it turned out we had ONE day of good weather and then a week of poor.
In one day we could get to Tarpon and be somewhere--- and be able to go to
Mass!!!
 Going the rim we would have been stuck in Stinehatchee for a week.
 We did the overnighter and she has told all how great it was !!!!!!!!

In my opinion WEATHER is the factor to consider. However If half do not want
to do it don't!!!
