GL: Lignum Vitae

The traning ship TSES IV at SUNY Maritime college was a troop transport 
(Built in 1938 in Pascagoula Mississippi) and had a Lignum Vitae shaft 
bearing at in the stern tube.  Lignum Vitae key in Florida Bay (near 
Islamorada) has a State Park with some trees still standing.  We anchored 
here on our loop trip - dinghied ashore and went on a ranger lead tour which 
included a display of bearings, belaying pins and other lignum vitae 
artifacts!!!!!!!!!
