Any experience with gel batteries. Our boat sits for a few
months at a time. Living on the boat is a drag on our
batteries and we seem to get about 2 years of life from
them.
WE have 3 4D gel batteries in our Nordic Tug. They are about 6 + years old
and show no sign of deterioration. Gel batteries need careful charging (don't
exceed 14.1 volt) and are fairly maintenance free. On our previous sailboat
the gel batteries were 10 years old when we sold the boat.
