GL: gel batteries

We also have gel batteries for our engines, but wet batteries for our  
bank of three in the cabin.  We put a heavy duty light timer in the  
circuit for the battery charger so that it only runs a few hours a  
day when we are not aboard during the week.  Last set of batteries  
lasted 5 years, 3 of which we were on our Great Loop Cruise.
