You might also consider having a Delta plow and a Danforth anchor as
your bow anchors. It is also recommended that the bow anchor have
chain the length of the boat and then 150 to 200 ft of nylon rode.
On the Chesapeake Bay and in many sand and mud conditions, the
Danforth works best (a Fortress with sufficient chain is also OK in
place of a Danforth or as a stern anchor).
