All,
This is but another case of boaters in one area not being aware of
the Laws and Regulations in another area and ASSUMING that every area
is the same as theirs.
The fact is that there are many waters on the Great Loop that DO NOT
PERMIT ANY DISCHARGE OF BLACK WATER WHATSOEVER. That simply means
that all waste must go into a holding tank to be pumped out - NO
OVERBOARD DISCHARGE - NO EXCEPTIONS!
I refer everyone to Skipper Bob and his books. Bob Reib keeps up
with all the current laws and requirements on this subject and ways
to comply with all the local laws. So, buy the books, spend the
bucks and do it right. One of his books even has diagrams on how to
bypass a holding tank Y valve legally - call or email him!
