GL: Kill-A-Watt Explanation

Sorry about not elaborating....the Kill-A-watt meter has been 
discussed here so many times I mistakenly thought (almost) everyone 
knew what it is.

Kill-A-Watt is a meter that plugs into a standard 115V AC receptacle. 
It can show the voltage, and frequency of the incoming power. An 
appliance or something such can be plugged into it. The meter can 
then show how much current the appliance is drawing, as well as 
voltage and frequency. By switching from one reading to another (from 
voltage to amps drawn and voltage before and after plugging the 
appliance in), you can see how much of a voltage drop you have in the 
wiring up to the meter.

As I said in my earlier post, it does not like Modified Sine Wave 
(MSW) inverters - not my Freedom 3000, at any rate - so some other 
good meter must be used to check those out.

These meters have been discussed at length here on the list, many 
said they could not find them. It is about 3" x 6" x 1" and has an 
LCD readout. I have found it to be quite useful when checking the 
generator and shore power voltages and frequency.
