We had two 20 lb tanks, and one 10 lb tank (grill)--We would never run out in 6 months. When one tank was empty we would switch (Manual--do not use an automatic valve)--and then fill the empty when we found the next place (a little more sparce in Alaska, than on the Loop! Bob Austin
