I don't see any major problem with your arrival on June 1. We arrived from
Mexico in mid June, and were in Maine by mid July in a boat about the size you
have. You may not be able to stop quite as much along the way-but getting up
into the Great Lakes in 8 weeks should not be a real challange. This is
assuming that you want to do the "loop" in a year.

If I were doing it today-, I would probably spend a summer going up to Maine,
bring the boat back to the Chesapeake (probably take the boat offshore to
Maine, and do the coastal cruising comming back down--as we did). Then winter
the boat in the Chesapeake.

I don't know exactly how this will work out with your visa, but going into
Canada might retrigger your permit--ie apply for another cruising permit after
spending a few weeks in Canadian waters.

The things to consider are air draft and water draft. The air draft issues
are fixed. Some areas you might consider going out of the ICW if there is
shoaling, and going outside for a days run or so.

Be sure and buy all of "Skipper Bob's" books on the Loop, and verious
segments.
