GL: AMTRACK Bridge on the South Chicago River is doing maintenance this week

I contacted the AMTRACK Bridge today to see if I'd have any problem having
it raised around 07:00 AM on Sunday September 3rd.  The operator didn't
know. The bridge has been closed from 06:00 AM thru 02:00 PM this week for
maintenance. He told me to check with them this weekend.

 

Sue and I start the loop from Winthrop Harbor, IL this Friday and will spend
the week end in Dusable marina leaving Sunday morning for Spring Brook
marina on the Illinois River.
