ONE OF THE GL POSTS MENTIONED BEING TO CHICGO BY LABOR DAY.  I DON'T PLAN ON

BEING THERE TIL 10/10.  IS THAT AN OBVIOUS PROBLEM????

I can't address what the weather will be like then - others can and probably
will.

However, Hammond Municipal Marina  which is the closest marina to the
entrance to the Cal-Sag, will end their season on Sept. 30. There may be
others along your route that begin to close down prior to Oct 10-15 as well.

Hammond Municipal will not reopen next year due to expansion of the casino
local but will be back 2008. Think about an additional 650 boats searching
for slips next year.
