I am not sure what this is about--but having owned a number of single screw
and several twin screw boats; they both can be turned in their own lengths.
However, it is much easier with twin screws, because you can spin to port or
starboard.  With a single, you are somewhat limited to the direction which is
dictated by the prop walk in reverse, to make it within its own lenth.
