tortech -- bryan's toronto techies list

About tortech
English (USA)

***NOTE*** this is not a DigitalEve list. The DigitalEve tech list is called "deto".

Why?

The purpose of this list is to provide a forum for discussion of technical stuff, generally in the areas of the Internet and computers but not necessarily limited to them, for professional techies in the Toronto area. Aspiring techies should see the paragraph below about clues.
This list is just that - a mailing list. It is not a professional organization, it is not part of a larger concept. It's just a mailing list, and that's all it needs to be.

How it works

The list doesn't set a reply-to when messages go thru. This means that by default most mail readers will send replies to the original sender and not the list, unless you do a group reply/reply to all. This is a feature, not a bug, and will not be changing.

The list is also setup to only allow posts by subscribers. I'll approve posts that are from subscribers sending from a different email address, but this may take time depending on if I'm reading email at the time. This will also not be changing.

This list is not, generally speaking, for people without clues. If you are found to be clueless, it's entirely possible that you will have your posting abilities removed and/or you may be removed from the list entirely.

You have been warned.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the tortech Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
